Davis Brody Bond has worked with IBM Corporation on three of their corporate campuses including Poughkeepsie, New York; Athens, Georgia; and Manassas, Virginia. These projects have included Master Plans, Facility Design Guidelines, and Interior Design.
Computer Development Facilities, Poughkeepsie, NY
Davis Brody Bond provided master planning and design service for IBM’s 300-acre Poughkeepsie campus, its main site for the development and manufacture of large mainframe computers. The initial assignment was to develop an Interior Design Master Plan (IDMP) for all offices and raised floor computer areas. Subsequent phases have involved the practical application of the IDMP for over 675,000 square feet of new construction and the upgrading of over 200,000 square feet of existing facilities to adapt to new technologies.
Administrative and Technical Facility, Manassas, VA
This high-security administrative and computer center was the first phase of a one-million-square-foot development that forms a new “sub campus” within the very extensive existing IBM complex. It houses the Federal Services Division which is comprised of laboratories, offices, and raised floor and support facilities.
Research and Manufacturing Facility Master Plan, Athens, GA
A comprehensive Master Plan, prepared for the development of an IBM site in Athens, Georgia had five phases of development. It began with facilities for dry manufacturing and materials distribution buildings and then proceeded with wet manufacturing, laboratories, administration, cafeterias, and other supporting structures.
